# Developer Role

## Capabilities

* Create and edit flows in [Graph Studio](/graph-studio/overview)
* Build, test, and publish tools in [DevStudio](/devstudio/overview) when your team’s process allows
* Configure variables, RAG, and tools
* Run tests and review execution output

## Restrictions

* Cannot manage workspace members on the **Users** page in a typical setup
* Follow your organization’s rules for **when** to publish (for example production approvals)

## Best practices

* Use version notes for all significant changes
* Add debugging examples in flow descriptions
* Coordinate with Admins for publishing
